Custom Designed Transducers and Wide-Dispersion Constant Directivity Horn for Powerful High-Definition Sound
CBR Series speakers come equipped with carefully selected and customized transducers that feature a highly responsive woofer and a precise 2.5” compression driver (CBR15) or 2”compression driver (CBR10 and CBR12), ensuring consistent high-definition sound with minimal distortion even at high output levels. Additionally, a newly designed wide-dispersion constant directivity horn minimizes the radiation pattern deterioration in oblique directions that more conventional horns are prone to, allowing sound to expand in a more rectangular pattern, evenly dispersing wide-frequency sound to the outer-most edges of the coverage area.
Great sound at any volume level
The Yamaha CBR15 puts out full, punchy sound at any volume level thanks to two specific components. An extremely sensitive LF driver puts out powerful bass even when you’re not driving the speaker hard. And when you do want to push your system to the max, an HF-protection circuit prevents excessive input signals from damaging the tweeter, so you get clear sound throughout the entire volume range.
Use as a main speaker or as a floor monitor
Yamaha designed the CBR15’s cabinet with a 50-degree wedge angle. This allows you to place the speaker on its side and angle it up for use as a stage monitor. Especially if you’re equipping your school or church with PA gear, you’ll appreciate the dual-function versatility of the Yamaha CBR15.
