The HS-5 allows you and your bandmates to adjust your headphone mixes individually, so everybody can rehearse effectively. Loaded with effects for guitar and bass, including COSM amp modeling, the HS-5 also lets you add reverb and other effects to vocals, ensuring an inspired performance with every run through. You can also make stereo recordings and save them to a thumb drive, or connect the HS-5 to your computer for multitrack recording. Individually adjustable mixes allow for effective rehearsal
It’s hard to perform if you can’t hear yourself properly. Luckily, the Roland HS-5 session mixer allows up to 5 musicians to set their own independent monitor mix. Together with the main mix, each musician can balance their own monitor mix by adjusting the volume of their instrument. Setting values are displayed on LEDs encircling the knobs, so they’re easy to see – even in the dark. You can also connect another HS-5 and run them in tandem, allowing for up to 8 musicians.
COSM amp modeling allows for direct connection of instruments
The innovative Roland HS-5 session mixer comes loaded with incredibly authentic COSM amp models for guitar and bass, allowing players to connect their instruments directly to the mixer – no need to lug your heavy amp to band rehearsals! Also, with controls for the amount of distortion and compression, as well as equalizer and pan, what you hear is bound to result in an inspired performance.
Built-in recorder for archiving rehearsals and making demos
Recording your band’s rehearsals can be highly beneficial. After all, your band won’t get tighter if you can’t listen to yourself critically. Also, it’s difficult to get a decent gig without a polished demo to give to club owners. Fortunately, the Roland HS-5 session mixer lets you make stereo recordings and save them on a thumb drive. You can also connect the HS-5 to your computer for multitrack recording, making it possible to capture complete recordings and dump them into your DAW.
